William was the first born child of William and Florence (Webb) Milham.

He was sitting in his high chair at the table, at about 18 months of age, when his mother made a fresh pot of tea which she then placed on the table.

Nobody knows exactly what happened, but it is surmised that

William reached for the hot teapot while Florence's back was turned for a minute, possibly to reach up to get a cup. Of course his little hands could not lift the teapot, but instead he knocked it over on himself.

He suffered 3rd degree burn to a large area of his body, and passed away in the Royal Brisbane Childrens Hospital, Brisbane.

Guardian Angel from heaven so bright,
Watching beside me to lead me aright,
Fold thy wings round me, and guard me with love,
Softly sing songs to me of heaven above.
Amen.

Because many records were lost in the 1974 Flood, there is no longer any record of the exact location where William was buried.
