Son of Francis Marion Garrett and Elvie Catherine Mobley, married Susie Bell Kirkland (1908-1994) on April 14, 1924 in Duval County, Florida. One son, Walter Lindsey Garrett (1925-1990,) and three daughters, Mildred Estelle Garrett Kelly, Beverly Louviney Garrett Moore and myself. He worked at Effinger and Russell Creosote Plant most of life; but, later on ran a small general store in Garden City of Duval County, Florida.
A polio survivor from early childhood, a sufferer from post polio syndrome in his later years; he never stopped enjoying life and loved to be with his family and friends especially if there was food to be had!
There is a tombstone at Macedonia Cemetery with Arthur Garrett's name on it; but, he is not actually buried there. His cremated remains were scattered about the cemetery and church grounds.
