Naomi M. Radford, 84, 2117 Forest Dr., died at 8:30 p.m. Monday, August 17, 1998, at St. Luke's Nursing Center, following a brief illness.
Miss Radford was born Feb. 2, 1915, in Jasper, the daughter of Herschel and Pearl Strecker Radford.
She graduated from Jasper High School in 1931 and was a graduate of Rudes Business College. She moved to Carthage in 1931.
She was with the Health and Human services Department, Washington D.C., from 1940 to 1948, and with Federal Public Health, Anchorage and Fairbanks, Alaska, from 1948 to 1970, before retiring and returning to Carthage.
She was a member of First Baptist Church, Friendship Sunday School Class, Retired Federal Employees Association and Crossroads Business Women's Club.
There are no immediate survivors.
Arrangements are under the direction of Knell Mortuary.

Graveside services for Naomi Radford, 83, 2117 Forest Dr., who died Aug. 17, 1998, were held at 2 p.m. Thursday at Paradise Cemetery.
The Rev. Ray Crews officiated.
She was a member of the Rhoda Fairchild Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution.
Pallbearers were Alan Garrison, Mark Garrison, Tom Garrison, Jeff Abbiati, Gary Cook and Jason Cook.
Arrangements were under the direction of Knell Mortuary of Carthage.
