George Compton, of Landisburg, an employe of the Babcock Coal & Coke Co, lumber manufacturers, was run down and killed Dec 10 by a log train. He was attempting to make a coupling of cars and was thrown under the wheels. He was an American, 25 years old, and is survived by a widow. His death was reported to the workmen's division of the public service commission.
