Cassie Dewey Williams, 88, of 614 Cleveland, Springdale, Ark., died June 28, 1987, at the Springdale Memorial Hospital. He was born Dec. 24, 1898, at Kingston, Ark., the son of Willie and Bijou Gresham Williams. He was a retired farmer and a member of the Church of Christ.
Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Lora Simmons Williams of the home; one son, Jasper Ray Williams of Tacoma, Wash.; three daughters, Mrs. Faye Langley of Methow, Wash., Mrs. Darlene Ritter of Cheney, Wash., and Mrs. Oleta Bryant of Pettigrew; one stepson, Bill Hawkins of Farmington; three stepdaughters, Mrs. Mildred Burnett, Mrs. Margie Beasley and Mrs. Evelyn Burnett, all of Springdale; one sister, Mrs. Ruth Patrick of Winslow; 17 grandchildren; and 24 great-grandchildren.
Services were held Tuesday, June 30, at the Saint Paul Church of Christ with Otto Bennett, minister, officiating. Interment was in the Riverside Cemetery under the direction of Brashears Funeral Home.
Pallbearers were Bill Hawkins, Randy Bryant, Bobby Bryant, Lloyd Bowling, Richard Stowers and Darrel Moody.
