Henry S Weaver, 78, of Nappanee, died Wednesday of last week in his home, 2 & one/half miles northwest of Nappanee. He had been ill five weeks.
He was born Feb 15, 1875, in Berlin, Ohio, the son of Sam and Mary (Mackey) Weaver.
He married Clara S Stump, Nov 19, 1898, in Nappanee.
Surviving is the widow; six sons, Floyd, Marvin, Harvey and Harley, all of Elkhart, and Joseph and Charles of Nappanee; four daughters, Mrs Elmer Haines, Mrs Lemuel Wise, Mrs Betty Lou Hamilton, all of Nappanee, and Mrs Vincent Timmons, Gary; a brother, Atlee Weaver, of Goshen; two sisters, Mrs Barbara Miller, Nappanee, and Mrs Emma Weaver, Fulton, NY. Also, 31 grandchildren and 30 great-grandchildren.
Services were held Saturday in the Union Center Church of the brethren. The Rev Ervin Thomas, pastor of the Locke Brethren in Christ church, assisted by Bishop Carl Stump, was in charge. Burial was in Union Center cemetery.
