PONDER-John Mood Gann, retired Ponder farmer and rancher, died at 5;30 pm Wednesday in Flow Memorial Hospital. He was 78. A native of Denton, Mr. Gann was a lifetime resident of Denton County, He had been a resident of the Ponder area most of his life. Survivors include six sons, John W. Gann of Roanoke, Houston D Gann of Gatesville, Berk R. Gann of Dallas, George G. Gann in South America, Peddy Gann of Ponder and Newton N. Gann of Wichita, Kansas: one sister, Mrs. Nora Gambill of Denton: 19 grandchildren and one great grandchild. Mr Gann's wife, the former Miss America Smith died in 1941. Another son, Mood Junior Gann, died in a prisoner of war camp in World War II. Funeral services will be held at 10;30 am Friday in the Jack Schmitz & Son Funeral Chapel.
