Mary Lou Dominy, 86, of Lawrenceville, Georgia met her husband Paul D. Dominy,
as she had promised him, at the feet of Jesus on March 13, 2008.
Funeral services were held Saturday at 12 noon at the Oakland Church of God in
Marion County, Georgia with Rev. A.R. Curlee and Rev. Wayne Dominy
officiating. Interment followed immediately in the Oakland Baptist Church
Cemetery.
Mrs. Dominy was born May 5, 1921 in Jackson County, Georgia to Gay and Elise
Vaughn Spivey and until two years ago had lived in Box Springs, Georgia. She
and her husband had been married 65 years before his passing in 2003. She
loved flower gardening but her passion was leading people to Jesus.
Survivors include sons, Melvin Dominy of Auburn, Georgia, Ted Dominy of Social
Circle, Georgia and Wayne and Mary Dominy of Buena Vista, Georgia; daughters,
Nancy and Ron Jones of Buford, Georgia and Jean Smith of Lawrenceville; a
brother, Bobby Spivey of Calhoun, Georgia; and sisters, Billie Gunn of
Montgomery, Alabama, Margie Dawkins of Monroe, Georgia and Juanita Chapman of
Calhoun. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.

Dominy, Michael Dominy, Travis Dominy, Joseph Dominy, Johnathan Dominy and
Chris Ockomon serving as pallbearers
