Mr. Lonnie Leonard "Hawk" Olive Sr., age 59, of Starke passed away Tuesday, August 24, 2010 at his residence following a brief illness. Mr. Olive was born on June 19, 1951 in Starke to the late LeRoy Olive, Jr. and Vera Muse Olive, and was a lifelong resident of Starke. Mr. Olive was a Truck Driver, enjoyed playing softball earning numerous awards, and was a member of Air Park Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his brother Lloyd Olive and daughter Angela Quarles. Survivors are: his wife of 38 years Hellen Grace Pearl Olive of Starke; sons: Lonnie L. Olive, Jr. (Gracie); Jason Olive (Kerrie); Donald McWilliams (Chasity) all of Starke; daughters Heather Sparks and Angela Turknett both of Starke; brothers: Lester Olive and James Olive both of Starke; sisters: Betty Groves of Starke; Shirley Belyew of Arizona; twenty seven grandchildren; three great grandchildren; The family will receive friends at the DEWITT C. JONES CHAPEL on Friday, August 27, 2010 from 6-8 PM. Funeral services will be on Saturday, August 28, 2010 at 10:00 AM in the DEWITT C. JONES CHAPEL. Interment will follow in Macedonia Cemetery, Macclenny. Arrangements are by JONES-GALLAGHER FUNERAL HOME OF STARKE. 904-964-6200.
