Aged and Respected Lady of Miller County Died Saturday December 19, 1914

Mrs. Martha Jane Lumpkin Miller, daughter of John and Elizabeth Lumpkin , departed this life Saturday, December 19, at the advanced age of eighty years, one month, and four days, death being due to cancer of the stomach. She was born near the Blue Spring Baptist Church in Miller Co. and has made her home in that county the greater part of her life.

She leaves a husband, Marion Miller, four sons, one step-son, two daughters, and three brothers to mourn her demise. The children are L. S. Land A. P. Wadley, W. J. Miller, Esom and O. F. Miller, Mrs. Will Klindt, and Mrs. Cornelia A. Norfleet. The brothers are W. M., U. S., and Rev. E. M. Lumpkin.

Deceased professed faith in Christ at the age of sixteen and united with the Blue Springs Baptist Church. At the time of her death she was a member of the Hickory Hill Baptist Church. The funeral services were conducted Sunday, Dec. 20, by her pastor, Rev. J. M. Tate, of California, at the Spring Garden Baptist Church. The remains were laid to rest in the Spring Garden Cemetery. To those who mourn the loss of a loving wife and and a devoted mother, and the long list of friends and relatives, the RUSTLER extends its deepest sympathy,
