OBIT: The Paris News, Jan 3, 2011 — CLARKSVILLE - John Arthur Bagby, 65, of Clarksville, passed away, Jan. 2, 2011, at Legend Healthcare Center in Paris. Funeral services are scheduled at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 5, in Lindeman Chapel of Clarksville Funeral Home with the Rev. Ed Dodson officiating. Burial is to follow in Fairview Cemetery under the direction of Clarksville Funeral Home. The family is to receive friends one hour before service time at the funeral home. He was born Sept. 1, 1945, in Clarksville, the son to James Elliott ‘Doc' and Valarie Parks Bagby. He was a carpenter and worked with the Green family in the Mountain Valley Spring Water Business. He was member of the First Presbyterian Church. Survivors include a son, Jim Bagby, of Garland; a daughter, Laura Bagby, of Dallas; two granddaughters, Nikole Stringer and Blaire Peek; two sisters, Barbara Parker, of Sumner and Betty Wood, of Reno; and nieces and nephews.
