C J Harris died July 24, 1910, at the age of 40, following an illness of about two weeks. He was foreman of the car department for the Cotton Belt Railroad at the time of his death. Burial was in Oakwood Cemetery. Mr. Harris was survived by his wife; four children; his father; four brothers and three sisters, who lived elsewhere. (his obituary was published in the Daily Courier-Times on July 25, 1910.)
