GREENUP — Beatrice Mae "Gran" Belford, 82, of Ky. 2, Greenup, went to be with the Lord, surrounded by her loving family and friends, on Tuesday, Jan. 11, 2011, in King's Daughters Medical Center in Ashland.

Mrs. Belford was born May 11, 1928, in Argillite, a daughter of the late Gordon and Pearlie Whitley Arnett.

She attended Christian Fellowship Independent Baptist Church in Greenup. She loved fishing, four wheeling and being with family and friends.

She was also preceded in death by her husband, Denver Belford; a son, Lawrence Belford; a brother, Beecher Arnett; and four sisters, Myrtle Coffee, Ruth Sczscany, Ottis Carter and Eunice Gillispie.

She is survived by four sons, Lloyd (Sherry) Belford of Greenup, Raymond "Pete" (Loretta) Belford of Milan, Mich., Earl (Geneva) Belford of South Shore and Kenneth (Trish) Belford of Greenup; three daughters, Diana "Lou" (Ernie) Via, Belinda Gail Belford and Rhonda (Dean) Abdon, all of Greenup; 20 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; 12 great-great-grandchildren; and a host of very special nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 15, 2011, at Reed Funeral Home in Greenup by Brother Danny Brown. Burial will be in Belford Cemetery in Greenup.

Friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday and an hour before services Saturday at the funeral home.
