Daughter of Calvin Palmer and Catherine Heck, born Columbiana County, Ohio. Frank was born in Columbiana, youngest son in the family. Catherine born in Unity Township on her parents farm. Margaret's father died in his young '20's, leaving Kate and his baby daughter. Calvin died in 1886 of tb. Mother married in 1888 to Sylvanus Cover who raised her as his own daughter. Very active in their church, was a great older sister to Clyde and Emeline Cover. She helped her mother take care of neighbors and church members who were suffering from the flu epidemic going around the US then. She herself succumbed to the flu and died. Her younger brother Clyde was in France in the Army during WWI when she died. He was totally devastated when he found out she had died while he was gone. Both her grandmother's lived with them occasionally, Rebecca Myers Heck and Emeline Ackerman Cover. She and her younger sister Emeline helped her mother take care of both of them as well. Becky Heck died in 1919 and Emeline Cover died in 1914. Maggie was small like her mother, 5 foot tall maximum. Her grandmother Becky Heck was also diminutive in stature as wel
