Dies at Home Here

Mrs. Frances Mustachia Laxton, 76, a resident of Pine Bluff for 63 years, died at her home at 506 West Barraque last night at midnight following an illness of about two years.
Mrs. Laxton was the widow of John Laxton, manager of one of the Hestand stores, who died in 1941. She was born in New Orleans on Jan. 10, 1880, a daughter of the late Nick and Maggie Carruso Mustachia. She came to Pine Bluff with her parents and was reared and received her education here. She was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church.
Survivors include two sons, Howard and John Laxton of Pine Bluff; four daughters, Mrs. Dorothy Jones, Mrs. Worthen Bell and Annie Laxton of Pine Bluff and Mrs. Dewey Allen of LittleRock; one brother, Frank Mustachia of Annaheim, Cal.; one sister, Mrs. Annie McCullough of Pine Bluff; 11 grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren. Mrs. Howard Laxton, Jr., the wife of one of Mrs. Laxton's grandsons, who died in the Grand Canyon air disaster earlier this year along with a great-grandson.
Funeral arrangements are incomplete and will be announced later by Ralph Robinson and Son Mortuary.
