Lewis was the son of William ADAMS and Susan ENDICOTT. born near Barry, MO on 12-2-8-1852. From there his family moved to Westport and at age 14 came to Johnson County, KS where he lived out the rest of his life.
He married Miss Kate CARUTHERS of Liberty, MO on 12-24-1884. Surviving him are twin daughters, Mrs. Roy S. BAER of KC, MO and Mrs. D.L. Van Dyke of Liberty, MO; two grandsons, one sister, Mrs. Maggie L. FREEMAN and one brother Oscar, both of De Soto, KS.
Funeral Services were held at his church, Church of Christ in Gardner, KS on 2-20-1933 and burial in Gardner Cemetery.
His sleep is rest from labor wrought, while repeats
