David Eugene Hunter, age 78, of East Point, Ky., husband of Ada Mills Hunter, passed away Friday, December 23, 2005 in the Highlands Regional Medical Center, Prestonsburg, Ky. He was born February 21, 1927 in Harold, Ky., the son of the late John Hunter and Mary Eva Conn Hunter. Mr. Hunter was retired Iron Worker.

Survivors include, three daughters, Brenda Gail Hunter, East Point, Patricia Campbell, Prestonsburg, Ky., Teresa Akers, Dana, Ky., two step sons, Willie Martin and Sherman Martin, both of Huntington, WV., 6 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, 7 step grandchildren, and several step great grandchildren.

David was preceded in death by his first wife Billie Marie Meade Hunter, his daughter Brenda Gail Hunter, died the day after his death, and he was preceded in death by step daughter, Marsha Saxton, two brothers, Johnny Hunter and George Conn, three sisters, Polly Ann Akers, Maggie Snyder and Bertha Kidd.

Funeral services for David Eugene Hunter will be conducted Wednesday, December 28, at 1:00 p.m., at the Hall Funeral Home, Martin, Ky., with the Clergymen Bobby Joe Spencer and Bobby Carpenter officiating. Burial will follow in the Davidson memorial Gardens, Ivel, Ky. under the professional care of the Hall Funeral Home, Martin, Kentucky. Visitation is after 5:00 p.m., Monday here at the Funeral Home.
