He served in the Army for 27 years and was awarded the Army Commendation Medal with Oak Leaf, the European Occupation Medal, the National Defense Medal and the Korean Occupation Medal. A funeral will be held today at 11 a.m. at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd. Visitation will begin at 9 a.m. Burial will be in Biloxi National Cemetery, Biloxi, Miss.
