On May 30,at 2 AM occurred the death of Andrew P. Hart, age 86 at the home of his daughter Mrs. S. A. Ball. He was a solder of the civil war enlisting in December, 1863, a private of Company A 14th Reg. New York Heavy Artillery, and served until the close of the war, July 14, 1865. He leaves a wife and eleven to mourn his loss, three boys and seven girls: Mrs. John McElwaine of Bombay, Mrs. S.H. Burnap of Moira, Mrs. Everett Penfield of Oswego, Mrs. E.E. LaDuke of Minneapolis, Minn., Mr Henry Hart of Herkimer, N.Y., Mr. Andrew Hart in the U.S. Service, stationed at Boston, Mass., Mrs. William Greer, Mrs. S.A. Ball, Frank and Miss Emma of Potsam. He was buried from the Roman Catholic Curch with interment in the Catholic Cemetery.
