Mr. John Frederico Larcher (pronounced Lar SHAY) meaning "The Archer" in French was born of European descent in Buenos Aires, Argentina and lived in Cordoba, Argentina before moving to the United States. He was born shortly after his parents arrived from Europe by way of an Italian boat carrying olives. Mr. Larcher worked at the United States Naval Shipyard in Norfolk, Virginia as a gifted machinist mate as his son would grow up to be gifted like his father. Mr. Larcher is survived by his parents Mr. and Mrs. Frederico "Fred" J. Larcher (Rosa O.) who brought their son to this country at the age of 16 who loved to play Football (Soccer) and was fluent in five languages English, French, Italian, Portuguese, and Spanish. Mr. Larcher is also survived by his only child a beloved son Harry Aaron Larcher age six. A Roman Catholic Mass will be held at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church, Portsmouth, Ohio. His son stated in his senior years he remembers everything about his father "Pepe" and his favorites were taking him to get pistachio ice cream and carrying him on his shoulders while singing to him in French and Italian.

Gravesite Details

The original tombstone was 8' overall the base was 6' high on top was the white marble cross that was enclosed in glass. Vandals broke the glass and the base. The cross is all that remains.
