Born in Allentown, he was a son of the late Frank X. and Stella (Magjory) Solar. Surviving are a son, Thomas E., and a daughter, Mrs. Phyllis A, wife of Mr. David Gaffney, both of Watertown, NY; and three sisters, Sophia, wife of Albert Shellhammer of Whitehall, PA, Elsie, wife of Theodore Koch, and Mrs. Pauline Diehl, both of Allentown, and eight grandchildren.
Services will be at 11 am, Saturday, in the J.S. Burkholder Funeral Home, 1601 Hamilton Street, Allentown. Calling hours will be after 10 am, Saturday.
