Graveside services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Oakwood Cemetery in Carterville for Wayne Artz, 73, of Oak Lawn, formerly of Carterville. Mr. Artz died Sunday, Oct. 11, 1981, in Hines Veterans Hospital in Chicago.
He was a veteran of World War II.
He was born Aug. 31, 1908, in Carterville to Allie and Rosa Hopkins Artz.
Survivors include one half sister, Edith Adams of Nashville; one niece, Rose Howerton of Carterville; and three nephews, Thomas Bogart of Long Beach, Calif., and Harry and Richard Bogart, both of Carterville.
Funeral arrangements are by Riggin-Pillatsch Funeral Home in Carterville,
