POULTNEY - Adam N. Maslack, 84, died May 2, 2011, at Rutland Regional Medical Center.

Calling hours will be from 9 to 11 a.m. Monday, May 9, at the Roberts-Aubin Funeral Home, 266 Allen Ave., Poultney.

The funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:30 a.m. Monday at St. Raphael the Archangel Catholic Church with the Rev. Sean Dowling as celebrant. Burial will follow in St. Raphael Cemetery.

A full obituary will be published in a future edition of the Rutland Herald.

POULTNEY - Adam N. Maslack, 84, died Monday, May 2, 2011, at Rutland Regional Medical Center.

He was born December 23, 1926, in Poultney, the son of the late Mikolas and Pauline (Murcho) Maslack.

Adam was a United States Navy Veteran, serving on board the U.S.S. Nelson DD623 during WWII.

He was a devoted member of St. Raphael the Arch Angel Catholic Church. He was also a 65-year member of the Poultney American Legion Post 39, and the Knights of Columbus, Granville, N.Y. Counsel.

Adam was an avid hunter, gardener and outdoorsman.

Adam is survived by his wife, Shirley (McLaughlin) Maslack, of Poultney; by his children, Fred Maslack and John Maslack, both of Poultney, Ann Fraser and her husband Kirk of Plattsburgh, N.Y., and Julie Maslack and Jeff Leo of Essex Jct., VT; by his brothers, Frank Maslack and his wife Dorothy of Poultney, Michael Maslack of Rutland, and Phillip Maslack; by his sisters, Katy McGurn and Pauline McNutt and her husband Robert; by his sister-in-law, Priscilla Maslack of Essex Jct., VT; by his grandchildren, Clay McIntyre, of Plattsburgh, N.Y., and Gabrielle Fernandez, of Essex Jct., VT; and also by numerous nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his parents, by his brothers Joseph and John Maslack, and by his sister, Josephine Veysey.

Visitation hours will be held on Monday, May 9, 2011, from 9 A.M. until 11 A.M. at the Roberts-Aubin Funeral Home, located at 266 Allen Avenue, Poultney, VT.
