He was married to Lois Stephens. on Oct 23, 1940 in Shelby County, Texas. She later married Dudley (Red) Emerson. Jimmie's and her daughter, Johnnie Maud Stephens Brown passed away in approx. 2005. She and Lois are buried at Price Cemetary. Lois had two more sons, Carl, and Johnny Lee Emerson. Jimmie was oldest child of William Melvin and Bulah Pierce Stephens. His brothers and sister are: Wilmer Stephens, Melvin (Babe) Stephens, Lee Stephens, Henry Stephens, Eddie Stephens, and sister Clois Stephens Metcalf. Jimmie was the oldest child. That is the child in the picture standing between his daddy and mama, Melvin and Bulah Stephens, probably in about 1912. He died young at 31 years of age.

I have seen their marriage license and divorce papers at Desoto Parish Courthouse in Mansfield , Louisiana.
