Willie was my great grandmother. She was the mother to my grandfather Wm Melvin Stephens and all his brothers and sisters. Always heard that she was part Cherokee Indian. She was born somewhere around Nacogdoches. Her marriage license is recorded in court house in Nacogdoches.

EIGHT OF THE CHILDREN ARE BURIED IN BETHEL CEMETERY. AUNT ETHEL MCCLURE IS BURIED AT OAKLAWN CEMETERY IN CENTER, TEXAS.HAVE NOT LOCATED THE BURIAL SITE FOR "LULA" WHO MARRIED DAVE PIERCE. Jason married Oma Lee Plunkett, who was the daughter of Joseph Plunkett and Delia Scott Hassell Plunkett. Delia was Joseph,s first wife. Then Joseph was married to Mary Chamberlin, and lastly he married Mollie Stephens, who he was married to at the time of his death in Shepherd, Texas.
Have located Jason now. He is buried at Shepherd City Cemetery with his wife Oma Lee. Also now believe that Lula is buried at Bethel, with a marker made out of 1/4 inch steel, with a crucifiction of Jesus on it, by Helen Pierce Jenkins, a daughter of Lonnie Leroy Pierce.
