On Nov. 3, 1898, she was married to John Horst, who preceded her in death Feb 19, 1916.
On May 16, 1922, she was married to Bishop Jacob Burckhart of West Salem, Ohio, who died June 16, 1952.
Surviving are 2 sisters (Laura Compton, Columbiana, Ohio, and Leah Martin, Harrisonburg, Va.), one step-daughter (Mrs. William Brubaker, West Salem, Ohio), 3 stepgrandsons, and 9 step-great-grandchildren.
She was a member of the Old Order Mennonite Church. Funeral services were held at Pleasant View Church, Columbiana, Ohio, in charge of Russell Cline, Abram Bearinger, and William Weaver.
