On January 27, 1909, Claude was united in marriage to Reine Moffat, by Rev. Arthur J. Coram, pastor of the M. E. Church, at the home of her parents in Menomonie, Wisconsin, in a ceremony witnessed by Lena Brightsman and George Moffat, both of Menomonie. Reine was born October 1, 1884, in Dallas Township, Barron County, Wisconsin, daughter of Albert W. Moffat & Emma J. Darrow. She died December 23, 1972, at her residence at 125 1/2 Lake Avenue in Ladysmith, aged 88 years, 2 months and 22 days, and was buried there in Riverside Cemetery. Their children, all born in Wisconsin, were:

Russell Wilson 26 Jun 1913 in Wisconsin
George E. 11 Dec 1918 in Wisconsin
Their first born child only lived a short time and may have died within a few days after birth as it was not given a name. It is buried in the same plot as it's parents, but has no gravestone.
