Lance Cpl. Sean M. N. O'Connor, 22, of Douglas, Wyo., died June 12 while conducting combat operations in Helmand province, Afghanistan. He was assigned to 1st Battalion, 5th Marine Regiment, 1st Marine Division, I Marine Expeditionary Force, Camp Pendleton, Calif. He is survived by his parents, Daniel and Dee O'Connor; his older sister Sarah; his favorite dog Sam; maternal grandmother Leslie-Anne Kippen of Canada; maternal grandfather Gilles Labelle of Canada; step-grandmother Esther Labelle of Canada; paternal grandmother Marilyn O'Connor of Cheyenne; aunt and uncle Deborah and David Wilcocks of Canada; aunt and uncle Kendra and C.T. Akers of Wright; aunt Desiree Labelle of Canada; cousins Deirdre Wilcocks and Matthew Harnum, Daryll and Candace Wilcocks and daughters Olivia and Bridgett, Sharon Labelle and daughter Madyson, John Akers and Samantha Labelle; and a large extended family, related and otherwise. He is preceded in death by his paternal grandfather Nicholas O'Connor.
