Sylvia K. Ross of McMinnville died Oct. 28, 1999, in her home. She was 90.
A private family service will be held. Interment will be in Swan Point Cemetery, Providence, R.I.
She was born Aug. 8, 1909, in Fall River, Mass., the daughter of Frank H. and Mabel T. Spooner Kingsley. She was raised and educated in Fall River. She graduated from Leslie College with teaching credentials.
She and Everett C. Ross were married Sept. 12, 1934, in Lincoln, R.I.
Mrs. Ross lived most of her life in Common Fence Point, Portsmouth, R.I., and Swansea, Mass. She was a longtime homemaker. Family members said she taught her children generosity and the value of education.
Survivors include two sons, Clifton Ross of McMinnville and Kingsley Ross of Tallahassee, Fla.; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband in 1974.
Arrangements are under the direction of Macy & Son Funeral Directors, McMinnville.
