She was employed as a clerk for several years Fall River MA., she later taught sewing in public schools of the city. In 1908, she was promoted to supervisor of sewing, retiring from the position in 1913. She resided in Fall River for most of here life. She was a witness at both the inquest Testemony and the premliminary trial but it was not until the jury hearing that she revealed that Lizzie had burned the dress that she had worn on the day of the murders. Because of Alice saying this, Lizzie and Alice rarely ever spoke to each other again. She was also a witness at Lizzie's trial. Alice lived in obsucurity for most of her life.
