Pauline E. (Bragg) Pierce

Pauline E. (Bragg) Pierce, 87, died Tuesday, March 7, 2000, at Bethany Village Nursing Home in Indianapolis. She was a resident of Indianapolis and a former resident of Sheridan, Westfield, Fortville and Pendleton.

She was born Sept. 23, 1912, in Boone County. She married the Rev. Chester R. Pierce. He preceded her in death. Survivors include four daughters, Margaret Harbron and Sarah Barrett, both of Indianapolis, Dorothy Short of Greenwood and Marilyn Helms of Gettysburg, S.D.; 10 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by four brothers, Harold, Henry, Harry and Howard Bragg; and a granddaughter, Kimberly Helms.

She was a homemaker, foster mother and childcare provider for many children.

She was a member of Church of God and Anderson Affiliation.

The Rev. Dennis Hardin will conduct a service at 10 a.m. Friday at Wilson St. Pierre Funeral Service and Crematory, Bright Chapel in Pendleton. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home. Burial will be at Grove Lawn Cemetery in Pendleton.
