A graveside service for Mr. Willard Oliver (Bill) Bayne, age 93 of Ruston, will be held at 1:00 PM Wednesday, June 8, 2011 at Wesley Chapel Cemetery in Ruston. Rev. Dalton Shovan will officiate the service under the direction of Owens Memorial Chapel Funeral Home of Ruston.

Mr. Bayne was born November 27, 1917 in Simsboro to W.O. Bayne and Bulah McCullin Bayne. He went home in the arms of Jesus to join his parents and sister, Emma Bayne Snipe on June 6, 2011. We, his family and friends, were blessed to have him on this earth for 93 years. Bill was a woodworker, shade tree mechanic, and a butcher for most of his adult life. Many loyal customers remember him coming to him at the A&P Grocery. For several years after his retirement, people still associated him as the butcher for A&P. He always worked hard and passed that trait, among others, to his children. His greatest love in his life and especially in his senior years was his large family.

Mr. Bayne is survived by his children: Betty Jo and husband James Ramsey of Natchez, Mississippi, Rebecca and husband Tommy Dockery of Tuscaloosa, Alabama, William O. Bayne and wife Kathy, Robert D. Bayne and wife Patsy and Melinda and husband Thomas Saulsberry, all of Ruston; his grandchildren: Pamla Rainbolt of Natchez, Mississippi, Kimberly and husband Dan Lord of Ruston, Christopher Plock and wife Cecilia of Glendora, California, Stacie and husband Wes Mobley of Jonesboro, J.R. Farley and wife Misty of Hico, Cole Bayne and wife Brooke of West Blockton, Alabama, West Bayne and wife Christiann, Leah Farley, Wade Bayne, Sarah Turner and Joshua Turner all of Ruston; great grandchildren: Christian Lord, Kirsten Lord, Lexi Bayne, Landon Farley, Morghan Farley, Conner Plock and Claire Plock he is also survived by Ann Barmore and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
