Louis John Seibert, 58, of Assumption, died a 6 a.m. today (Saturday May 26) from injuries received in a two-car accident, approximately one mile north of Moweaqua on U.S. Route 51.
Mr. Seibert was born September 1, 1925 at Taylorville, a son of Louis J. and Jennie Lamb Seibert and on November 28, 1948, he was married at Taylorville to Dorothy Nicol. He was an employee at Mueller Company at Decatur and was a member of the Assumption Christian Church and American Legion. He was a Navy veteran of World War II.
Surviving are his widow; two sons, Steve and Dale, both of Assumption; his mother, Mrs. Jennie Seibert of Taylorville; one sister, Mrs. Clifford (Virginia) Eggerman of Flint, Mich.; and one grandchild.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Seitz Funeral Home at Assumption, with the Rev. Lyndon Faull, pastor of the Assumption Christian Church, officiating. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery, Assumption.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday in the funeral home.
