Ralph L. Hamrick was born on October 17, 1909 to Warren and Viola Hamrick at DeKalb, Illinois. He passed oat on January 15, 1993 at the Northwest Medical Center in Thief River Falls, Minnesota at the age of 83.

Ralph moved with his parents to the Warren, Minnesota area as a young boy. In 1931, he married Ruth Olson. She died in 1941. On October 14, 1953, he married Julia Johnson in Warren. She died November 10, 1983. He lived in rural Warren where he farmed. In 1981, he moved into Warren.

He was a member of the PKM Elecric Cooperative board of directors from 1968 to 1981, Vineland-Huntsville Mutual Insurance Co. director and officer from 1962 to 1991, Melo Lutheran Church of rural Warren, Warren Pony Booster Club, Warren Lions Club, Helgeland Township Board for many years and was named the Northwest School of Agriculture Top Aggie in 1977.

Left to mourn his passing are one son and daughter-in-law, Marwood and Janice Hamrick of Brainerd, Minnesota, three grandchildren, Vickie Strong, Diana Miller and Lisa Hamrick, six great-grandchildren, eight step grandchildren, special friend Dorine Franks of Warren, Minnesota and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by wives, Ruth and Julia, brother Frank, sister Marie and an infant grandson.
