I would like to submit Jacob's father's name as JAMES (b: abt 1784 PA and d: bef 1849 Erie County, NY as near as we can tell from records related to James' wife and two children)-- per two sources: the North American Family Historical record for his sister, Cordelia J Todd (Choate) as well as Jacob's mother's FAG memorial

Just made a correction for Jacob's birth location being either PA or NY, since (per many records and his parents FAG memorials) his parents did not leave PA or NY USA -- you can check out the records and the genealogy story about his parents being "natives of the Empire state" which are the basis for my tree's info for all three people. If you too agree that he was born in the USA
