Beverly Kay Elder was a happy bubbly person, with a very infectious personality. She always had a lot of friends and when single, she rarely lacked a Friday night date. She followed in the tradition of her beloved mother and grandmother, Ida Meyer Allen, with terrific culinary skills and she was also quite "crafty" and artistic. After being diagnosed with lymphoma and despite fighting valiantly through a bone-marrow transplant, Kay still managed to remain upbeat and always looked to the future.
