TREMONTON, Utah _ Florence May Egbert Hebdon, 85, formerly of Idaho Falls, died July 9, 1992, in the Bear River Valley Hospital of natural causes.

She was born May 1, 1907, at Grace, to Robert Calvert and Sarah Jane Perry Egbert. She grew up and attended schools in Turner and Grace.

On Dec. 31, 1925, she married Melvin Joseph Hebdon in Idaho Falls. Their marriage was solemnized in the Logan, Utah, LDS Temple May 31, 1934. They lived in Taylorville and then in Shelley before moving to Idaho Falls in 1936. She worked at J.C. Penney Co. and Rogers Brothers Co. Her husband died in July 1982. In 1990 she moved to Tremonton to live with her daughter, Peggy.

She was an active member of the LDS Church and she served as a stake missionary and in the genealogy library. She was active in Girl Scouts and the Eagles Auxiliary.

Survivors include her daughters, Mrs. Kay (Florence) Davis of Ammon, Mrs. Gerald (Ramona) Hansen of Goshen, Mrs. George (Barbara) Wewers of Twin Falls, Mrs. Boyd (Meldeane) Whitmill of Shelley, Mrs. John (Bernetta) Anderson of Idaho Falls, Mrs. Gene (Peggy) Ogle of Tremonton, and Mrs. Bud (Kathy) Shepherd of Iona; six sisters, Leda Christensen, Maude Mecham, Ione Stathos and Ellen Adkins, all of Ogden, Utah, Carma Dinwiddie, and Esther Morrell of Seattle; 39 grandchildren; 101 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by three brothers, a sister, three grandchildren and a greatgranddaughter.
