Mrs. James McIver Called Suddenly
Died Following Heart Attack At Memorial Hospital in Waseca on Friday Morning.
Mrs. James McIver passed away at the Waseca Memorial Hospital on Friday afternoon, August 20, at 10:30 o'clock. She had been ill for five weeks and death was caused by a heart ailment.
Margaret H. Mann was born on October 23, 1897 at Baldonville, Wisconsin, and was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W. H. Mann. In 1917, she graduated from the Hastings High School. On September 25, 1921, she was joined in wedlock with James C. McIver of Walker at that place.
She leaves to mourn her loss: her husband, two sons, James of San Francisco, Cal., Pvt. Charles Leonard of Medford, Ore., two daughters, Mary Jo and Berneice at home, one granddaughter, Sandra Jo of San Francisco, Cal., her mother, Mrs. W. H. Mann, of Prescott, Wis., and three sisters, Mrs. John Carlson and Mrs. Stella Carlson, both of Prescott, Wis., and Mrs. Jim McShane of Hastings.
The McIver family came here in September 1929, having previously lived at Hastings and Walker. During her lifetime Mrs. McIver did quite a bit of practical nursing. She was a member of the local Woman's Relief Corps.
Funeral services were conducted by Father English on Tuesday morning, August 24 at 8:45 o'clock at the home and 9:00 o'clock at St. Ann's Catholic Church. Burial was made in St. Ann's Catholic cemetery.
The pallbearers were Harvey E. Gardner, Eugene Volz, Herbert Finley, Frank Cahill, Dr. M. V. De Laney and P. A. Janson.
