Cordelia Hatch passed away at her home at 1401 Forest Street from what was exhaustion due to senility and old age. She was 90 years, 7 months & 3 days of age.
Her husband, William H. Hatch had preceded her in death in 1899.

Knell Mortuary of Carthage conducted the funeral arrangements and burial was beside her husband in Park Cemetery.

PASSES AWAY AT THE HOME OF MRS. RUSSELL HETZ

Was Mother of Mrs. F. W. Flower of This City - Funeral Tomorrow Afternoon


Mrs. Cordelia B. Hatch, one of the oldest resident sof Jasper county, died at 2:30 this afternoon at the home of Mrs. Russell Hetz, 1401 Forest Street, where she had been making her home for about a year. Death was due to old age. She had been bedfast only a week.
Mrs. Hatch was born July 3, 1826 in Millbrook, Ohio thus making her 90 years old. She had a ninetieth birthday celebration the 3rd of last July. She was married July 3, 1849 in Wooster, Ohio to W. H. Hatch. Together they moved to Mr. Pleasant and then to Des Moines, Iowa. From the latter place they moved to Carthage in 1885. Mr. Hatch died 17 years ago. Mrs. Hatch was a member of the First Methodist Episcopal church and an active worker for its interests, especially in the earlier days of the church
Three children;
Mrs. Sarah Vernon of Washington, D.C.

Mrs. F. W. Flower of this city, survive. It will be impossible for Mrs. Vernon to attend the funeral.
Funeral services will be conducted at 4:30 tomorrow afternoon from the residence of Mrs. B. J. Gladden of 910 Grant street. Burial will be next to her husband in Park Cemetery.
