STREATOR — Curtis L. Kramer, 88, of Streator passed away Monday morning, Aug. 15, at St. Mary's Hospital.

A memorial visitation will take place from 9 to 11 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 18, at Winterrowd Funeral Home. A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Cremation rites have been accorded. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery with flag folding ceremonies conducted by Streator American Legion and Streator Veterans of Foreign Wars.

Curtis was born Nov. 11, 1922, in Oakville, Iowa, to Albert and Mary (Wonders) Kramer.

He married Bernadette Kaschak on Feb. 28, 1946. She passed away Nov. 7, 2008.

Surviving is brother, Neal (Faye) Kramer of Ottawa; sisters, Arlene Phillips of Lakeland, Fla., and Mary Lou Oelschlager of Streator; many nieces and nephews; and a special friend, Patricia Cogdal.

He was preceded in death by his wife; and sister, Janet Overocker.

Curtis graduated from Oakville High School and was a member of the former St. Stephen's Church.

He was a veteran of the U.S. Army during World War II. He retired as a custodian from Woodland School in 1985.
