In loving memory of Mary Virginia McKillip who passed away peacefully in her sleep at the age of 94 on Tuesday, December 4, 2014, in Auburn, California. Mary was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Bill McKillip. Mary was born in San Francisco and met Bill at a USO dance in downtown San Francisco during World War II. They married and started their family in San Francisco and later moved to Bill's home town, Curtis, Nebraska. After returning to settle in Auburn in 1957, Mary and Bill started the Sierra Gold Distributing Company and operated the business for over 37 years. During this period, Mary and Bill delivered dairy and ice products throughout Placer, Nevada and El Dorado Counties. Mary also worked for the California Department of Employment Development for 10 years. She was also an active member of the Legion of Mary for over 40 years in Auburn at St. Joseph's and St. Theresa's Catholic Churches.

Mary is survived by her children. She was blessed with 11 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren and 4 great- great grandchildren.
