Miss Duckett was born in Buncombe County and was a daughter of the late Clyde William and Perchie Clark Duckett. She was a graduate of Sandy Mush High School, a retired seamstress and was formally employed by Morrison’s Furniture Store. She was a member of Big Sandy United Methodist Church where she served as former treasurer and trustee. Miss Duckett was the community historian to the Sandy Mush Community.

Survivors include special friend, Harry Meadows; an aunt, Edna Duckett Bryant; an uncle, Loyd Duckett; cousins and friends.
