MILLERSBURG -- Arden B. Miller, 91, of Millersburg, passed away Sunday morning, Sept. 11, 2011, at Majora Lane Care Center, Millersburg.

Funeral services will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Killbuck United Methodist Church, Killbuck, with pastors Roberta Fuller and Tom Jones officiating. Burial will be in Killbuck Cemetery, where military rites will be conducted by Killbuck VFW.

Friends may call Tuesday from 5-8 p.m. at Alexander Funeral Home, Millersburg.

Family suggests that memorial contributions be made to Killbuck United Methodist Church.

He was born June 6, 1920, in Aurora, the son of Aaron J. and Fannie (Gerber) Miller, and married Dorothy E. Poulson on May 20, 1950. She survives.

Arden owned Miller Drug Store in Killbuck for 35 years, where he was a pharmacist, and was a member of Killbuck United Methodist Church, where he held various offices. He was also a member of Millersburg American Legion and the Lions Club for 48 years. He was instrumental in organizing Little League in Killbuck, was on the Killbuck School Board when they consolidated into West Holmes School District and was on the Holmes County Planning Commission.

He was a veteran of W.W. II, serving in the U.S. Army's 430th CA Battalion (AA) from 1941-45, receiving four Battle Stars, and was a 1949 graduate of Ohio Northern University. Arden was an avid golfer, and enjoyed all sports. He loved his family.

Surviving in addition to his wife are a daughter, Dee Ann Miller of Murray, Ky., and a son, Dan (Nancy) Miller of Millersburg; grandchildren, Carrie (Chad) Williams, Cassie (Justin) Kibler, Caleb and Zac Cooperrider, all of Croton and Aaron Scott and Reed Daniel Miller, both of Millersburg; great-grandchildren, Cooper, Ava and Mackenzie Kibler, Owen and Ila Williams; a brother, Kenneth (Bernie) Miller of West Salem; a sister, Janice Strong of Columbus; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by sisters, Iva Miller, Goldie (Joe) Stewart, Mabel (Mac) McDaniel and Gladys (Ralph) Schrock; a brother, Stanley (Francis) Miller; and a brother-in-law, Earnest Strong.
