Author. He is most remembered for his 1984 book "Les Modernes," which was published as a journal of 54 episodes, marking his life from 1945 to 1984. He was also known for being a philosopher and a French Historian. He was interested in the history of the French bourgeoisie in the nineteenth century. One of his books was "The Art of Eating in France: Manners and Menus in the Nineteenth Century". Although he was considered a liberal thinker, he was nephew of the conservative philosopher Raymond Aron. He graduated with a science degree and taught philosophy at the Universities of Tourcoing and Lille. He published eight essays, three plays and two novels. He was one of the first spokespersons in France for HIV awareness.
