Mrs. Delia Callahan, wife of John Callahan died at her residence, 612 10th Street, Altoona, Pennsylvania, last evening at 9:00 o'clock of diseases incident to advanced age. Born in County Roscommon, Ireland 77 years ago. For the past 55 years has been a resident of this city. Two daughters, Mrs. Catherine E. Doran and Mrs. Annie Cowden both of this city with three grandchildren and ten great grandchildren survive.
A member of St. Marks Catholic Church, Funeral Monday morning. The remains will be taken from her late home at 8:30 a.m. and requiem mass will be celebrated at St. Mark's Catholic Church. Interment will follow in St. John's Cemetery.
** Delia McDermott Callahan is the sister to James McDermott (1810-1888) also in St. John's Cemetery memorial #66212673. Parents died in Ireland.
