Mary Jane was born November 2, 1935 to James Ernest "Ern" and Jettie Louise (Shaver) Landon. She is the younger sister of J.E. Landon. She grew up in Seneca, Missouri and graduated from Seneca High School in 1953. Mary's love of her life was George Rosco Rogers. They were married at Patterson Heights Baptist Church in Anderson, Missouri on August 17, 1956. Brother Ray Clanton performed the ceremony. Mary Jane loved God, her family, friends and they all loved her. She spent time laughing and loving everyone around her, especially all of her babies. She enjoyed fishing, watching sports on television and growing beautiful flowers. She was a big Cardinal baseball fan. To remember Mary is to remember her laugh. She was a member of the Banner Church of the Nazarene and worked in the nursery at least twenty years. She is still rocking babies today in Heaven.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband, George R. Rogers on November 12, 2008; a son Terryll Joe Rogers; her parents, Jettie and Ern.
Mary Jane is survived by her son, James Darren "Buck" Rogers and daughter-in-law, Louise of Anderson, Missouri; one brother, J.E. Landon and sister-in-law, Nadine of Tiff City, Missouri; many nieces, nephews and several great nieces and nephews.
