Mrs. Ralph C. (Dorothy) Fuhrmeister, 49, of 438 Second Avenue, died Sunday evening at her home after a long illness.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the Donohue Mortuary. The Rev. George Bachman of St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church will officiate and burial will be in Memory Gardens. Friends may call at the mortuary after 7 p.m. today.
Mrs. Fuhrmeister was born May 21, 1920, in Union Township, the daughter of Marvin and Lillian Neuzil Breese. She attended Cosgrove High School and was married to Ralph Fuhrmeister in Zion Lutheran Church in Iowa City May 9, 1943.
Survivors include her husband; three sons, Gary and Steven of Iowa City and Danny at home; her mother, Mrs. Marvin Breese of Iowa City; three grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. Pat (Mary) Holderness of Iowa City, Mrs. Louis (Ida) Eckrich of Riverside and Mrs. Clarence (Betty) Meka of North Liberty, and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father, and a brother, Lawrence.
