David M. Dane, 61, was killed accidentally in a fall from a hayloft on the A.K. Redd farm, four miles north of Barnett, early yesterday morning.

Dane, who worked for Reed, died of a broken neck after he had fallen approximately 12 feet, Gene Bartram, Morgan county coroner, said after an inquest. He was found by his wife, Zida, shortly after the mishap.

He had formerly worked as an attendant farmer in the Centertown area. He was born Dec, 11, 1889.

Survivors besides his wife are three sons, James, Carl and Loyd; and three daughters, Mrs. Earl Howelman, Mrs. Frank Grantham and Mrs. Bonnie Jean Dane.

Dane was a member of the Baptist Church.
