He was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Dunkirk and Dunkirk Lodge #922, Benevolent Protective Order of Elks and past master of Cassadaga Grange, and a former member of the Pomona Grange.
Survivors include a son Melvin R. Miller; a daughter Beverly Miller Wise; four sisters Bernice Crilow, Elsie Kandel, Pauline Kandel and Ruth Yoder; three brothers, W. Ray Miller, P. Jay Miller and Clayton Miller; nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his wife Camilla Webster Miller; a brother Wellman Miller and two sisters Mrs. Ellen Miller and Miss Verda Miller.
