Ivan E. Okeley, 85, of 1115 Neeley, died in Ball Hospital Wednesday. A Berne native, he came to Muncie in 1913. He attended Muncie schools and worked 28 years as a foreman at Chevrolet-Muncie (now Detroit Diesel Allison).
Mr. Okeley was a member of Eagles Lodge 231 and Moose Lodge 33.
Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday in Parson Mortuary-Adams Chapel. Burial will be in Beech Grove Cemetery. Calling hours at the mortuary are 6 yo 8 p.m. Friday.
Survivors include a son, Robert; two sisters, Treva Patterson, and Ruth Tarvin of Washington; four grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
His first wife, Emma, died in the 1950s and his second wife, Edna, died in 1976. A daughter also preceded him in death.
